Cod is characterized by its wonderful solid white meat with lamellae which falls apart easily after cooking. When taking a chew, the meat is juicy and silky, but at the same time the dense texture gives a substance and good aftertaste. Cod Blocks are perfect to cook as a gratin or as a main ingredient in a saucepan or soup.

Clean cut fillets of Cod * (Gadus morhua). * Fished in the Northeast Atlantic (Barents Sea, the Norwegian Sea, Spitzbergen and Bear Island), with trawls or hooks and ropes. Despite great accuracy in removing all fish bones, there may be bones left.

Place the diced fish in boiling, lightly salted water. Gently simmer on low heat for about 5-7 minutes with lid, until the fish flesh is white.
Frozen fish 175ºC, 45-50 min.
Thawed fish 175ºC, 35-40 min.
Put the frozen fish in a greased form. Cook at 150ºC for 40-45 minutes. If the fish is thawed, it will suffice with 30-35 minutes in the oven.
