Commodities:
First class organic juniper berries and spices (coriander, cardamom, rose petals, red orange peel and angelica root) rowanberries from own cultivation, fresh organic red grapefruit, organic agricultural alcohol and water from own well.
Manufacturing:
Maceration
Add organic alcohol and water to the spices according to recipe.
Distillation
Distills in 150liter or 450liter copper stills with five bottom colon and basket whit red grapefruit.
Distillation time about four hours.
Head, heart and tail are carefully separated.
Storage
After distilling matured in barrels, earlier used for maturing our RoslagsWhisky.
We use ex-sherry barrels and ex-bourbon barrels.
Maturing time about eight weeks
Filtration/bottling
Dilute to 42% alcohol content with purified osmosis water from own well.
Filled in design bottle of 50cl.
Taste and use:
A gentle and fruity Gin that is excellent for drinking neat.
All flavours and aromas are enhanced if the gin is served at room temperature.
RoslagsGin Oak matured EKO is ideal for gin and tonic. Garnish whit a half-moon slice of red grapefruit. Fill a glass with ice cubes, pour in RoslagsGin Oak matured EKO and top with desired amount tonic water.
You can also do a Gin & Tea with RoslagsGin Oak matured EKO, tea suryp, ice cubes and soda water.
